1. A method performed by a processing device, the method comprising:
generating a control signal to solicit an uplink transmission, the control signal including a first identifier indicating a wireless network version of the uplink transmission; and
outputting the control signal in a trigger frame, wherein the first identifier is an identifier field or identifier subfield of the trigger frame.
