1. An electric motor drive system for determining optimized efficiency, comprising:
a system controller including a processor coupled to a machine readable storage memory holding a lookup table;
a motor drive including a drive controller and an inverter, the drive controller configured to control the inverter to generate an alternating current power upon a motor lead; and
an electric motor configured to convert the alternating current power from the motor lead to rotational energy upon a shaft;
wherein the system controller is configured to determine an output current command for optimized efficiency associated with each of a plurality of different combinations of a rotational speed and an output torque of the electric motor;
wherein the system controller is configured to store the output current commands as entries within the lookup table indexed by the rotational speed, and the output torque of the electric motor.
