1. A microactuator assembly comprising:
a piezoelectric element;
a first electrode disposed on a first surface of the piezoelectric element, wherein the first electrode is electrically connected to a first electrically conductive adhesive that bonds the microactuator assembly to a first end; and
a second electrode disposed on a second surface of the piezoelectric element opposite the first surface, wherein a length of the first electrode and second electrode are both less than a length of the piezoelectric element to form an exposed portion of the piezoelectric element not covered by any of the first electrode and second electrode, wherein the second electrode is electrically connected to a second electrically conductive adhesive that bonds the microactuator assembly to a second end that is opposite the first end.
