1. A method, comprising:
registering a tissue structure with a tissue atlas to obtain a transformation field, the tissue structure surrounding a plurality of interconnected blood vessels in a medical image data set, the medical imaging dataset including image data of a region of an anatomy of a patient, and the image data including the plurality of interconnected blood vessels labelled with a contrast agent;
registering the plurality of interconnected blood vessels with a vessel atlas by applying the transformation field to obtain a plurality of segmented blood vessels;
generating a vessel tree model from the plurality of segmented blood vessels using prior anatomical knowledge, the vessel tree model being a graph model including nodes and edges, and the nodes and edges representing the plurality of segmented blood vessels;
determining at least one path of a first blood vessel from a selected root node; and
outputting a graphical representation of the vessel tree model, the graphical representation including the at least one path of the first blood vessel.
