1. A method for evaluating the effectiveness of a skin treatment on a skin feature of a patient, comprising:
receiving a first image comprising the skin feature and an indicator adjacent to the skin feature, the indicator having a first standard color in a first region and a second standard color in a second region surrounding the first region;
correcting the color of the first image based on at least one of the first standard color and the second standard color;
receiving a second image generated after the skin treatment is applied, the second image comprising the skin feature and the indicator adjacent to the skin feature;
correcting the color of the second image based on at least one of the first standard color and the second standard color; and
comparing the corrected color of the skin feature in the first image to the corrected color of the skin feature in the second image.
