1. A protective barrier arrangement for an optical splice, comprising:
a first laminate structure; and
a second laminate structure,
wherein each of the first and second laminate structures comprise a flexible polymeric sheet defining an adhesive side carrying an adhesive layer and an opposed non-adhesive side, and wherein the flexible polymeric sheet includes at least one physical characteristic to distinguish the adhesive side from the non-adhesive side.
