1. A patient transport apparatus for transporting a patient, the patient transport apparatus comprising:
a support structure including a base and a patient support deck defining a patient support surface to support the patient;
a first caster assembly and a second caster assembly each coupled to the support structure to facilitate movement along a floor surface; and
an actuator assembly operatively coupling the first and second caster assemblies for concurrent operation between a first caster state and a second caster state different from the first caster state to at least partially limit movement along the floor surface, the actuator assembly including:
a first actuator operatively coupled to the first caster assembly and arranged for pivoting movement about a first pivot axis, the first actuator defining a first attachment point spaced vertically above the first pivot axis;
a second actuator operatively coupled to the second caster assembly and arranged for pivoting movement about a second pivot axis, the second actuator defining a second attachment point spaced vertically below the second pivot axis; and
a cable assembly interconnecting the first attachment point and the second attachment point to concurrently place the operatively coupled first and second caster assemblies in the first caster state or the second caster state in a coordinated manner in response to a force applied by a user to one of the first and second actuators.
