1. An apparatus comprising:
a housing comprising:
an acoustic transducer to detect a set of heart sounds when the housing is placed on a body of a patient;
a set of electrodes to measure cardiac electrical activity of the patient;
a memory to store target ECG parameters, the target ECG parameters corresponding to an optimal location on the body of the patient where the set of heart sounds are optimally detected by the acoustic transducer; and
a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, the processing device to:
perform, using the set of electrodes, a first electrocardiogram (ECG) of the patient when the housing is placed at a first location on the body of the patient;
determine first ECG parameters of the patient based on the first ECG;
determine a direction of the optimal location from the first location based on the first ECG parameters and the target ECG parameters; and
provide an indication of a direction in which the housing is to be moved in order to reach the optimal location.
