1. A staple driver actuator for a staple cartridge of a surgical stapler, the staple driver actuator comprising:
(a) a base having at least one bottom surface, wherein the at least one bottom surface defines a plane, wherein the base defines a longitudinal centerline, wherein the base is configured to slide longitudinally relative to the staple cartridge; and
(b) at least first rail extending upwardly from the base, wherein the at least one first rail includes at least one first cam surface, wherein the at least one first cam surface is inclined relative to the plane, wherein the at least one first rail is positioned laterally outwardly relative to the longitudinal centerline of the base, wherein the at least one first rail is configured to exert a biasing force on a portion of the staple cartridge in a direction toward the longitudinal centerline of the base.
