1. A communication device, comprising:
a front-end radio frequency (RF) circuitry;
a digital signal processor communicatively coupled to the front-end RF circuitry, wherein the digital signal processor is configured to:
initiate beam acquisition, by use of the front-end RF circuitry, in a receive-only mode;
set beam reception at the front-end RF circuitry to an omni-mode in which a plurality of different beams of RF signals are receivable at the communication device from a plurality of different directions;
execute a primary signal synchronization (PSS) search from each signal synchronization block (SSB) location of a plurality of SSB locations, wherein each SSB location of the plurality of SSB locations indicates a carrier frequency offset;
measure received signal strength indicator (RSSI) for each beam of the plurality of different beams of RF signals for each SSB location of the plurality of SSB locations;
switch to a specific beam of RF signals in a New Radio (NR) frequency that has a highest RSSI among the received plurality of different beams for beam reception, based on the executed PSS search; and
deactivate the receive-only mode and activate communication of the specific beam of RF signals in the NR frequency band to a customer premise equipment (CPE) or a user equipment (UE) for an access to the beam of RF signals in the NR frequency band at the CPE or the UE.
