1. A method comprising:
receiving, by a content management system, an asset for distribution;
conforming, based on a publishing profile of a plurality of publishing profiles, the asset with a distribution format of a destination asset distribution system, wherein the publishing profile indicates the distribution format and a submission standard;
determining, based on the publishing profile, a metadata object comprising data associated with the asset, wherein the data is formatted according to the submission standard;
receiving modification data associated with at least one of the asset or the data associated with the asset; and
updating, based on the modification data, the metadata object.
