1. A device comprising:
a memory storing instructions; and
a processor executing the instructions to perform:
classifying the captured image into a skin region and a remaining region that is in periphery of a finger region and not treated as the skin region based on feature of pixels of the region included in the captured image; and
determining whether or not a foreign substance is present on the object based on the feature of the remaining region that is different from the finger region.
