1. A device for testing a functionality of an implant unit, comprising:
an implant activator configured to move from a first position to a second position prior to final fixation of the implant unit, the implant unit being configured for implantation within a body of a subject,
wherein the implant activator includes a power source, the power source is configured to transfer power from the implant activator to the implant unit when the implant activator is in the second position, and
wherein transferring power to the implant unit causes modulation of a nerve of the subject; and
a nerve modulation response detector configured to detect a modulation response, the nerve modulation response detector further configured to be in contact with the subject during an implantation procedure.
