1. A method, performed by a second node, in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a third node, first information indicating downstream status;
identifying an event associated with link quality reduction on a link between the second node and the third node based on the first information indicating downstream status;
transmitting, to a first node, second information to report the identified event;
receiving, from the first node, third information to handle the link quality reduction on the link between the second node and the third node; and
determining an action for mitigating the link quality reduction based on the third information.
