1. A method for traffic flow acceleration in a computer network, the method comprising:
retrieving a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP) or Quick UDP Internet Connection (QUIC) traffic flow from the computer network;
mapping the traffic flow to a subscriber on the computer network;
determining congestion control parameters associated with the traffic flow;
determining subscriber buffer management parameters based on the subscriber and the congestion control parameters;
managing a buffer depth at a subscriber level based on the subscriber buffer management parameters; and
controlling subscriber burst activities based on Round Trip Time buffer size to control congestion, wherein controlling subscriber burst activities comprises:
initializing a burst size for the subscriber;
measuring packet loss over a predetermined interval for the subscriber;
comparing the packet loss during the predetermined interval with the previous interval packet loss; and
adjusting the burst size for the subscriber based on the comparison, wherein the flow burst size is reduced if the packet loss is higher in the current interval and increased if the packet loss is less in the current interval.
