1. An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
a processor;
memory coupled with the processor; and
instructions stored in the memory and executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
transmit an indication that the UE supports a plurality of cyclic prefix configurations;
receive, from a network entity, an indication of a first cyclic prefix configuration of the plurality of cyclic prefix configurations, the first cyclic prefix configuration indicating a first symbol period structure that includes a guard interval that occurs in a symbol period prior to a portion of the symbol period copied as a cyclic prefix based at least in part on a delay spread exceeding a length of the cyclic prefix; and
communicate one or more messages with the network entity in accordance with the first cyclic prefix configuration.
