1. A method comprising:
sending an electronic request for an amount of electric energy to an electric power generation system, using an electric grid interface, wherein the electronic request is configured to cause the electric power generation system to perform operations comprising:
receive the electronic request for the amount of electric energy using an electric power generation system processor;
determine if sufficient hydrogen to generate the requested amount of electric energy is available within the electric power generation system, using the electric power generation system processor;
in response to determining sufficient hydrogen is available, activating a thermal reaction chamber within the electric power generation system to generate the requested amount of electric energy, using the electric power generation system processor; and
in response to determining insufficient hydrogen to generate the requested amount of electric energy is available:
refraining from activating the thermal reaction chamber until sufficient hydrogen has been generated, using the electric power generation system processor; and
dissociating hydrogen from water, using an electrolyzer and the electric power generation system processor, until sufficient hydrogen is available to activate the thermal reaction chamber to generate the requested amount of electric energy.
