1. A system for inserting transition effects into video edits, the system comprising:
one or more physical processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:
obtain video edit information defining a video edit, the video edit including a sequence of a first video and a second video adjacent to the first video, the first video captured by an image capture device;
assess motion experienced by the image capture device during capture of the first video, wherein the motion experienced by the image capture device during capture of the first video is assessed based on position information for the first video, the position information for the first video characterizing positions of the image capture device during capture of the first video;
select a transition effect based on the motion experienced by the image capture device during capture of the first video; and
modify the video edit to include the transition effect between the first video and the second video, the first video preceding or following the transition effect in the video edit, wherein the transition effect in the video edit emphasizes the motion experienced by the image capture device during capture of the first video and creates continuity of motion during transition between the first video and the second video within the video edit.
