14. A method for controlling reconstruction in an emission tomography system, the method comprising:
receiving an application for imaging the patient;
determining a reconstruction-related characteristic of detected emissions, the reconstruction-related characteristic comprising motion or body mass index determined prior to reconstruction;
setting a value of a reconstruction parameter based on the reconstruction-related characteristics;
reconstructing a representation from the emissions using the value of the reconstruction parameter; and
generating an image from the representation; and
wherein determining further comprises determining a count density, a pixel size for framing counts of the detected emissions set based on the count density.
