1. A sensor head configured for facilitating cleaning a surface of one or more sensors, the sensor head comprising:
a shell defining a surround for accommodating the one or more sensors therein, said shell further comprising:
at least one conduit for receiving a fluid to facilitate the cleaning of the surface of the one or more sensors, said at least one conduit being in communication with a volume,
a plurality of channels, at least one of the plurality of channels being in communication with the volume, said channels configured for directing the flow of fluid to a vicinity of the surround; and
each of said plurality of channels being in communication with an orifice formed on the surround for facilitating the distribution of the fluid to the surface of the one or more sensors; wherein the cross-sectional area of the channel is different than the cross-sectional area of the volume to control the pressure of the fluid directed to the orifice;
wherein the position and number of the orifices are chosen to facilitate the generation of a vortex on the surface of the one or more sensors.
