1. A lighting device, comprising:
at least one light source adapted to emit light;
a uniform diffuser forming a light exit window of the lighting device; and
a non-uniform volumetric diffuser arranged between at least one light source and the uniform diffuser, such that the light exit window is non-uniformly lit when the lighting device is on, wherein the non-uniform volumetric diffuser has a first surface facing at least one light source and a second, opposite surface facing the light exit window,
wherein the non-uniform volumetric diffuser has open and/or closed cells, and
wherein at least some of the open and/or closed cells have cell diameters in the range of 0.6-1.0 cm and at least some of the open and/or closed cells have cell diameters in the range of 0.01-0.1 cm.
