1. A razor wire rapid deployment unit (RDU), comprising:
an enclosure having a first section coupleable with a second section;
a razor wire, wherein a first end of the razor wire is coupled to the first section, and wherein a second end of the razor wire is coupled to the second section,
wherein the first and second sections of the enclosure are separable from one another to bias the razor wire between a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration, and wherein the second section of the enclosure comprises an anchor component for securing the second section to a ground surface; and
a wire support extending into an interior area of the enclosure, wherein the wire support is operable to retain the razor wire, and wherein the wire support comprises:
a base coupled to the first section; and
a free end extending from the base, wherein an upper surface of the free end extends at an angle away from the ground surface as it extends away from the first section, and wherein the free end terminates within the interior area of the enclosure when the first and second sections are in the compressed configuration.
