1. A headlight device for a vehicle, comprising:
a light source unit to include a plurality of light-emitting units respectively emitting light having spectral distributions different from each other and to emit illuminating light having a combined spectral distribution as a combination of the spectral distributions of the plurality of light-emitting units; and
processing circuitry
to acquire environment information indicating a surrounding environment around an illumination region formed by the headlight device; and
to control the spectral distributions of the plurality of light-emitting units based on the acquired environment information, wherein
the plurality of light-emitting units include
a first light-emitting unit to emit first light, and
a second light-emitting unit to emit second light whose central wavelength is shorter than a central wavelength of the first light, and
the processing circuitry
calculates a glare amount for evaluating glare given to a driver of the vehicle when the illuminating light is emitted, based on the environment information, and
weakens the intensity of the second light when the glare amount is judged to be greater than or equal to a predetermined glare threshold value.
