1. A nucleic acid molecule encoding human endogenous retrovirus K (HERV-K) envelope protein or an immunogenic part thereof, wherein the immune-suppressive domain (ISD) of said protein contains at least one mutation that renders the ISD inactive, and wherein the at least one mutation in the inactivated ISD replaces Q525 with an alanine, wherein the numbering of said mutation is based on a HERV-K isolate comprising the sequence of any one of SEQ ID NO.: 9, 10, 11, 13, 17 and 21.
