1. A personal cleansing composition comprising:
(a) a surfactant system, comprising about 0.1% to about 5% of a fatty acyl isethionate surfactant, by weight of the composition, and about 0.5% to about 40%, by weight of the composition of a fatty acyl sarcosinate;
(b) about 0.25% to about 2%, by weight of the composition, of one or more natural polysaccharides; wherein one or more natural polysaccharides are chosen from xanthan gum, carrageenan gum, xanthan gum/locust bean gum, xanthan gum/guar gum, or mixtures thereof;
(c) about 0.5% to about 3% of an electrolyte chosen from sodium or potassium citrate, calcium chloride, calcium bromide, zinc chloride, barium chloride, calcium nitrate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, potassium iodide, sodium bromide, ammonium bromide, sodium sulfate, or mixtures thereof;
(d) water;
(e) an isotropic and micellar surfactant phase that includes the surfactant system; and
(f) a polymer liquid crystalline phase comprising the natural polysaccharide, wherein the composition is free of from alkyl sulfate and alkyl ether sulfate types of surfactants, has a yield stress τy of 0.005 to 3 Pa according to the Herschel-Bulkley Rheology Test Method, a flow viscosity of 3 Pa·s to 100 Pa·s at 25° C. at a shear rate of 1.5 s−1 according to the Flow Viscosity Test Method, and a transmittance at 25° C. and 640 nm of 25% to 90% according to the Optical Clarity Test Method.
