1. An ophthalmic system for assessing a tear film of an eye, the system comprising:
a plurality of measuring devices, each measuring device configured to:
detect light reflected from the eye, an ocular surface of the eye comprising the tear film; and
generate data that describes the eye from the reflected light; and
a computer configured to:
for each location of a plurality of locations of the ocular surface, align the data corresponding to the same location;
assess the data at the plurality of locations to detect one or more abnormalities of the tear film by:
identifying a location where the data exhibits a lower signal-to-noise ratio than that of other locations; and
detecting an abnormality comprising an inhomogeneity of the tear film at the location where the data exhibits the lower signal-to-noise ratio; and
determine a tear film description from the assessment of the data at the plurality of locations.
