1. A method of a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) including downlink control information (DCI) for a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) and associated physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH);
identifying a value Tproc,s associated with a PSSCH preparation time Ns; and
transmitting the PSSCH and associated PSCCH in case that a first symbol of the PSSCH and associated PSCCH is no earlier than a symbol, wherein the symbol is defined based on the Tproc,s after a last symbol of the PDCCH including the DCI.
