1. A system, comprising:
one or more processors, and
memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform:
providing an instruction to launch an editor window to display to a user a set of selectable content from user-generated content generated by a plurality of remote sources and stored in a content datastore;
identifying a set of selected content from the set of selectable content;
arranging the set of selected content into a multi-sourced journal content sequence;
applying a first layer from a layer datastore to a portion of the multi-sourced journal content sequence, wherein the first layer is a first type of layer, wherein the first layer comprises a first editing layer that can be superimposed onto another layer, and wherein the first type of layer comprises personal content that the user previously created and uploaded to their account;
determining a second layer from the layer datastore based on a relationship between the first layer and the second layer in the layer datastore, wherein the second layer is a second type of layer, wherein the second type of layer is different from the first type of layer, wherein the second layer comprises a second editing layer that can be superimposed onto another layer, wherein the second type of layer comprises content previously created by one or more other users and uploaded to at least a portion of the plurality of remote sources, and wherein the second type of layer comprises content having a lower definition quality than the first type of content layer;
superimposing the second layer, based on the relationship between the first layer and the second layer, onto the portion of the multi-sourced journal content sequence;
providing an instruction to display an integrated multi-sourced journal content sequence including the multi-sourced journal content sequence and the layer in the editor window; and
creating a multi-source content channel comprising the integrated multi-sourced journal content sequence, wherein the creating includes determining that the second type of layer includes content having a lower definition quality content and replacing the lower definition quality content with corresponding high definition quality content.
