OG exemplary drawing

1. An HVAC system for providing inline air purification for an air stream comprising:
a ductwork section having a given air flow cross-sectional area for drawing an air stream in a first direction therethrough;
a diverter for diverting a first portion of the air stream in at least a second direction that is substantially orthogonal to the first direction, the second portion of the air stream remaining flowing in the first direction;
a filter assembly including three filtering elements and a fan for drawing the first portion of the air stream with the fan through the three filtering elements configured to receive the first portion of the airstream from a chamber of a housing located with the ductwork section, the three filtering elements being substantially orthogonal to the second direction, the three filtering elements including at least one high efficiency particulate accumulator filter; and
a bypass duct for receiving the second portion of the air stream such that the second portion of the air stream is not drawn by the filter assembly fan through the filtering elements, whereby the bypass duct and the fan minimizes the pressure drop occurring as a result of drawing the first portion of the air stream through the three filter elements of the filter assembly.
