1. A method, performed by a user equipment (UE), in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
obtaining sidelink logical channel configuration for a plurality of logical channels including sidelink logical channel priority (sl-priority) information for the plurality of logical channels and allowed configured grant index information for one or more logical channels of the plurality of logical channels;
selecting a destination associated with one of unicast, groupcast, or broadcast having a logical channel with a highest priority which is identified based on the sidelink logical channel configuration for the plurality of logical channels, for a sidelink grant;
selecting at least one logical channel whose allowed configured grant index information is associated with the sidelink grant, among logical channels corresponding to the selected destination, based on the sidelink logical channel configuration for the plurality of logical channels;
allocating sidelink resources for the sidelink grant to the at least one logical channel in a decreasing priority order; and
transmitting sidelink data associated with the at least one logical channel using the allocated sidelink resource.
