1. A method performed by a distributed unit (DU), the method comprising:
generating a control plane (C-plane) message including section information with a section extension field for multiple ports; and
transmitting, to a radio unit (RU), the C-plane message via a representative port of the multiple ports,
wherein the section information includes a beam identifier (ID) for the representative port.
