1. An apparatus comprising:
a memory; and
a processor coupled with the memory to:
cause wireless transmission of a management frame to a source station, wherein the management frame comprises information to describe a connection between a relay station and an access point, wherein the apparatus is included in the relay station, and wherein the management frame is a beacon frame or a probe response frame, wherein the information comprises fields comprising a data rate, a link budget, and an indication of a traffic load between the relay station and the access point;
decode a request to associate with the relay station from the source station;
after association with the source station, decode a first medium access control (MAC) Service Data Unit (MSDU) received from the source station, the first MSDU comprising an address for the access point as a destination address, wherein the relay station is associated with the access point; and
generate a relay frame comprising the first MSDU for transmission, wherein the relay frame comprises the MAC address for the access point as a receiver address (RA), the MAC address for the relay station as a transmitter address (TA), the address for the access point as the destination address (DA), and the address for the source station as a source address (SA); and
cause transmission of the relay frame to the access point.
