1. A method of operating a transmitting radio node in a wireless communication network, the method comprising:
transmitting data signaling utilising a plurality of layers, the data signaling representing a plurality of code blocks; and
mapping modulation symbols of a modulation symbol sequence to the plurality of layers in c-tuples, the modulation symbol sequence representing the plurality of code blocks, c being dependent on the modulation used for transmitting the signaling, c being a number of consecutive modulation symbols, bits of the modulation symbol sequence including interleaved bits from different code blocks, the mapping of modulation symbols being according to a modulation scheme selected from a set of modulation schemes comprising interlinking and non-interlinking modulations based at least in part on at least one of a channel estimate, a signal quality and a signal strength.
