1. A method for affecting non-player character behaviors based on player gaze, the method comprising:
monitoring one or more images captured regarding a user in a real-world environment during a current interactive session with a user device of the user;
identifying that the images indicates a gaze direction of the user is currently directed toward a location within a virtual environment that includes at least one non-player character;
identifying that the images indicate pupil dilation by the user;
identifying one or more action options for the at least one non-player character to perform within the virtual environment based at least on identifying that the images indicate pupil dilation by the user;
triggering performance of one of the action options by the at least one non-player character based on one or more characteristics of the gaze of the user; and
generating a display of the virtual environment that includes performance of the triggered action by the at least one non-player character,
wherein the triggered action includes changing a mannerism of the non-player character based on the determined pupil dilation.
