1. A method performed by a system comprising a plurality of analyzers comprising a mass spectrometer and an immunoanalyzer, a sample introduction apparatus, and a control system,
the control system operatively coupled to the mass spectrometer, the immunoanalyzer, and the sample introduction apparatus, wherein the immunoanalyzer comprises a sample pipetting station, the method comprising:
determining, by the control system, that a mass spectrometric analysis is to be performed;
transferring to a first reaction vessel, by the sample pipetting station, a sample aliquot;
performing, by the immunoanalyzer, separation of an analyte in the sample aliquot in the first reaction vessel to produce a separated analyte;
transferring the separated analyte to a second reaction vessel;
transferring, by the sample introduction apparatus, the second reaction vessel to the mass spectrometer; and
performing, by the mass spectrometer, an analysis of the analyte.
