1. A panel comprising a panel core, a panel top side, a panel underside and a first edge pair and a second edge pair, wherein the first edge pair is provided with a groove profile at a first panel edge and a tongue profile complementary thereto at a second panel edge that is opposite the first panel edge, which are lockable by a pivotal movement and then cooperate in a positively locking relationship in such a way that in a locked state a vertical locking action can be achieved and movement of the panel and an adjacent panel away from each other in a horizontal plane of the panels is opposed, wherein the second edge pair is provided on another pair of opposite panel edges, made up of a third panel edge and a fourth panel edge opposite the third panel edge, and has complementary hook profiles, namely a receiving hook and an arresting hook, wherein the arresting hook is joinable to the receiving hook by a joining movement in a plane perpendicular to the panel plane simultaneously with the pivotal movement for the first edge pair, wherein the receiving hook is provided with a holding groove or the arresting hook is provided with a holding groove for a separate locking element with which a vertical locking action is achieved, wherein a butting surface is arranged at the receiving hook substantially orthogonally relative to the panel top side, wherein a counterpart butting surface is arranged at the arresting hook substantially orthogonally relative to the panel top side, wherein there is provided at least one sealing nose at the second edge pair at a lower end of the counterpart butting surface of the arresting hook and above the separate locking element in the locked state, wherein the sealing nose has an upper side and a lower sider that extend in a distal direction and the sealing nose is parallel to the third panel edge or the fourth panel edge over the entire length of the counterpart butting surface.
