1. An accommodating intraocular lens assembly comprising:
a base having an accommodating lens with an optical axis, the accommodating lens configured to change optical power along the optical axis in reaction to radial force on the base in a direction non-parallel to the optical axis; and
an exchangeable non-accommodating lens configured to removably couple to the base, the exchangeable non-accommodating lens positioned anterior to and spaced apart from the accommodating lens when the exchangeable non-accommodating lens is coupled to the base.
