1. A medical device, comprising:
a main body having a first arm rotatably connected to a second arm at a pivot point, the main body having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end of each arm has two substantially straight portions that form an obtuse angle therebetween, and the obtuse angle of the first arm faces the obtuse angle of the second arm, wherein the main body is oriented along a longitudinal axis;
a handle portion disposed at the proximal end of the main body;
a locking mechanism disposed at the proximal end of the main body; and
a gripping portion including a first flexible member permanently bonded to a first C-shaped member and a second flexible member permanently bonded to a second C-shaped member, each of the first C-shaped member and the second C-shaped member disposed at the distal end of the main body,
wherein the gripping portion includes a first projection extending vertically upward from a distal end of the first arm, a second projection extending vertically upward from a distal end of the second arm thereby forming a parallel line with the first projection, a first connector extending distally from a distal end of the first projection, a second connector extending distally from a distal end of the second projection, the first C-shaped member extending outwardly from the first connector and generally extending in a direction that is parallel with the first projection, and the second C-shaped member extending outwardly from the second connector and generally extending in a direction that is parallel with the second projection,
wherein the first C-shaped member and second C-shaped member have a radius of curvature measuring between one centimeter and ten centimeters, wherein a first flexible member is disposed on an inner surface of the first C-shaped member and a second flexible member is disposed on an inner surface of the second C-shaped member, wherein each of the first flexible member and the second flexible member is a gel-filled silicone pad, each gel-filled silicone pad having a textured surface configured to maximize contact and stability with body tissue,
wherein each of the distal end of the first arm and the distal end of the second arm is disposed on a first plane,
wherein each of the first projection and the second projection is disposed on a second plane, and the second plane is oriented transverse to the first plane,
wherein the first connector defines a first axis and the second connector defines a second axis, and each of the first axis and the second axis is spaced apart from the first plane and oriented transverse to the second plane, and the second axis is spaced apart from the first axis, and the first axis and the second axis are each oriented on a third plane that is parallel with the longitudinal axis of the main body, and
wherein the first connector is adjustably connected to the first projection and the second connector is adjustably connected to the second projection.
