1. A transceiver comprising a controller configured to:
direct an antenna to transmit a first signal to another transceiver for a first duration to cause the another transceiver to enter a listening mode and decode first data encoded by the first signal using a first number of bits;
in response to the first signal being transmitted, receive, via the antenna, a second signal from the another transceiver for a second duration greater than the first duration;
in response to the second signal being received, direct the antenna to transmit a third signal to the another transceiver to cause the another transceiver to decode second data encoded by the third signal using a second number of bits greater than the first number of bits and uniquely identifying the transceiver in a wireless signaling environment.
