1. An authentication method for providing secured access comprising:
receiving a request from an electronic device for secured access;
in response to the request for secured access:
generating a Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA) challenge for the electronic device, wherein the CAPTCHA challenge includes:
causing display, via the electronic device, of a 3D virtual object having an occluded element, wherein the 3D virtual object is spatially anchored to an object located in a virtual or real environment; and
delivering instructions, via the electronic device, to interact with the displayed 3D virtual object in order to reveal the occluded element of the 3D virtual object;
receiving, from the electronic device, a response identifying the occluded element of the 3D object; and
determining whether to provide the secured access based on the received response.
