1. A method of driving a liquid crystal display device to display a hologram, the method comprising:
receiving a grey level value for each pixel of a hologram;
determining a pixel voltage based on the grey level value for each pixel of the hologram;
driving the pixels of an array of pixels of a liquid crystal display device in accordance with a first representation of the pixel voltages during at least one first drive event and driving the pixels of the array of pixels of the display device in accordance with a second representation of the pixel voltages different from the first representation during at least one second drive event after the at least one first drive event, wherein the at least one first drive event is shorter in duration than the at least one second drive event.
