1. A method comprising:
obtaining, by a computing device, a first current signal corresponding to a first electrical conductor of an electrical distribution system;
determining, by the computing device, based on a time period, a first moving window for the first current signal;
determining, by the computing device, based on the time period, a second moving window for a second current signal, the second current signal being generated based on the first current signal;
determining a first frequency spectrum based on the first moving window and a second frequency spectrum based on the second moving window;
generating, by the computing device, an error index for the first electrical conductor based on the first frequency spectrum and the second frequency spectrum; and
identifying, by the computing device, a trigger event at the first electrical conductor based on a comparison between the error index and a reference threshold.
