1. A method comprising:
using time series forecasts to dynamically adjust allocations of processor cores to pools in a storage system such that the processor cores within each of the pools run at a single reduced clock speed defined for a service level corresponding to the respective pool; and
overriding time-series forecast adjusted allocations of the processor cores to the pools during a scheduled event by configuring the processor cores according to an event guided service level core profile.
