1. A teleoperated surgical system comprising:
an eye tracking unit including:
an image display configured to display to a user a real-time image of a surgical field;
an eye tracker configured to measure data corresponding to eye gaze dynamics of the user as the user is performing a surgical procedure using the teleoperated surgical system, wherein the eye gaze dynamics of the user comprise at least one of a frequency of eye gaze saccades or a frequency of pupil diameter fluctuation; and
a processor configured to continuously assess a stress or fatigue level of the user during the surgical procedure based on the measured data.
