1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
determining a first set of scores based on data associated with a component configuration, the first set of scores being associated with a first level of a hierarchy;
determining a second set of scores associated with a second level of the hierarchy;
classifying the first set of scores with respect to categories and one or more subcategories associated with each of the categories, the first set of scores characterizing aspects of the component configuration;
generating an aggregate score representative of a total performance of the component configuration, the generating including:
generating a first category score specific to a first category of the categories and a second category score specific to a second category of the categories,
performing normalization operations on the first category score and the second category score, wherein the first category score is representative of a first characteristic of the component configuration and the second category score representative of a second characteristic of the component configuration, and
combining the first category score that is normalized with the second category score that is normalized; and
providing the aggregate score representative of the total performance of the component configuration.
