1. A method to effectively read multiple temperature sensors on memory modules, comprising:
reading a first of a plurality of temperature sensors on each memory module of a plurality of memory modules;
reading a second of the plurality of temperature sensors on each memory module of the plurality of memory modules, after reading the first of the plurality of temperature sensors on each memory module of the plurality of memory modules; and
in response to failing to read a temperature from a particular temperature sensor, polling neighboring temperature sensors of the particular temperature sensor for temperature readings, wherein selected neighboring temperature sensors are chosen for polling based at least in part on at least one predetermined rule governing polling of temperature sensors neighboring a temperature sensor that failed to provide a temperature reading.
