1. A system for providing simultaneous independent temperature control of conditioned air to first and second rooms, the system comprising:
first and second temperature interfaces; and
a temperature control (“TC”) unit that communicates with the first temperature interface, via which a first desired temperature of the first room is independently adjustable by an occupant of the first room, and with the second temperature interface, via which a second desired temperature of the second room is independently adjustable by an occupant of the second room, the TC unit comprising:
a cabinet;
a compressor;
a condenser;
first and second flow paths through which the compressor is adapted to circulate a heat transfer medium,
the first flow path comprising the condenser, a first circulation valve, and a first evaporator through which air received from the first room is adapted to pass before being exhausted back to the first room to achieve the first desired temperature communicated to the TC unit from the first temperature interface, and
the second flow path comprising the condenser, a second circulation valve, and a second evaporator through which air received from the second room is adapted to pass before being exhausted back to the second room to achieve the second desired temperature communicated to the TC unit from the second temperature interface;
a first air mover adapted to move air from the first room through the first evaporator and back to the first room;
a second air mover adapted to move air from the second room through the second evaporator and back to the second room; and
a control unit adapted to:
receive the first desired temperature of the first room from the first temperature interface;
communicate control signals to the first circulation valve and the first air mover to achieve the first desired temperature in the first room;
receive the second desired temperature of the second room from the second temperature interface; and
communicate control signals to the second circulation valve and the second air mover to achieve the second desired temperature in the second room;
wherein the compressor, the condenser, the first evaporator, the second evaporator, and the control unit are each disposed within the cabinet;
wherein the first temperature interface, via which the first desired temperature of the first room is independently adjustable by the occupant of the first room, is spaced apart from, so as not to be in contact with, the TC unit; and
wherein the second temperature interface, via which the second desired temperature of the second room is independently adjustable by the occupant of the second room, is spaced apart from, so as not to be in contact with, the TC unit.
