1. A military vehicle, comprising:
a frame;
a cab coupled with the frame, the cab comprising a first plurality of panels configured to define a first interior volume for a driver of the military vehicle; and
a vehicle body supported by the frame, the vehicle body including a compartment comprising a second plurality of panels, the second plurality of panels removably coupled with each other to cooperatively define a second interior volume, wherein a panel physically separates the second interior volume from the first interior volume;
wherein at least one of the second plurality of panels of the compartment are replaceable with function-specific panels to transition the compartment between an ambulance compartment and another type of compartment to change an application of the military vehicle, wherein the first interior volume of the cab is physically separated from the second interior volume of the compartment by the panel when the compartment is transitioned from the ambulance compartment to the other type of compartment, and the other type of compartment include a ceiling panel that extends an entire longitudinal length of the vehicle body, the ceiling panel configured to be universally used with the other type of compartment;
wherein the ambulance compartment is configured to support a lifting strap having a first end, a second end, and an intermediate segment fixed to and extending away from the lifting strap between the first end and the second end, wherein the first end is coupled to a rotatable spool such that rotation of the spool in a first direction winds the lifting strap about the spool and rotation of the spool in a second direction unwinds the lifting strap from the spool.
