1. A bone reduction and fixation device comprising:
a central section;
a medial end section; and
a lateral end section,
the medial end section and the lateral end section each having an L-shaped profile defined by ends of a first (superior) plate and two second (anterior) plates,
the central section comprising a central part of the first plate and no second plate, thus providing a lag window,
wherein the lag window is positioned to enable access to reduce and fix comminuted bone fragments,
wherein the L-shaped profile results when the first (superior) plate is orthogonal or nearly orthogonal to the second (anterior) plate along at least a part of its length,
wherein a central section of the first plate has two countersunk screw-receiving holes, and end sections of each plate have three countersunk screw receiving holes.
