1. A delivery system, comprising:
an implant comprising a proximal portion including a circumferentially continuous hub that defines a hub lumen extending therethrough, the hub defining an outer cross-sectional dimension; and
a pusher device comprising:
tubular member defining a tubular membrane lumen;
a coil couple to a distal end portion of the tubular membrane, the coil extending helically about the implant proximal portion;
a heating element disposed within the tubular member lumen at a position proximal to the coil; and
first and second conductive leads electrically coupled to the heating element and extending proximally through the tubular member lumen for electrical connection to an extracorporeal power supply;
wherein the pusher device is configured such that heat from the heating element conducts along the tubular membrane to the coil;
wherein the coil has a first configuration in which the coil is biased to form a coil lumen with a first inner cross-sectional dimension, smaller than the outer cross-sectional dimension of the proximal portion, wherein when the coil engages the proximal portion of the implant, the coil lumen is in fluid communication with the hub lumen;
wherein the coil has a second configuration in which the coil lumen has a second inner cross-sectional dimension, larger than the outer cross-sectional dimension of the proximal portion; and
wherein the coil is configured to transition from the first configuration to the second configuration when above a transition temperature.
